A new group of young people have begun their time of study in preparation for confirmation. Classes are held the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month while service projects and outside projects vary. Please continue to pray for our young people as they take more active roles in our church family. .
Women's Fellowship will be meeting Wednesday, November 14th in the Fellowship Hall at 1pm. Please think about stopping in at our meeting. Bring some new ideas, enjoy the company, and enjoy a delicious dessert.
CROP WALK was a success! Neither rain or cold kept Dorothy, Myrna and Adolph from participating in the Walk. Bob and Barb cheated a bit, but took lots of groceries to the Hampshire/Burlington Food Pantry on their golf cart. As always the members of St. John's were more than generous and donated $2,000.00. As of last week total raised from participating churches was over $6,000.00. Approximately $1,500.00 from St. John’s will be donated to the Hampshire/Burlington food pantry. The remaining funds will be sent to Church World Services to help end hunger one step at a time.

Once again we have the opportunity to share the holidays with those less fortunate than ourselves and has been a church project since 2006. M.O.R.E. is distributing Holiday Dinner Kits to their clients. The kit includes a turkey, instant potatoes, vegetables and is also supplemented with other food items such as milk, desserts, etc. The cost per kit is $16 each. Consider donating one today.

In September we served 143 people with 55 children under the age of 18.
In November, “turkey & the fixings boxes” will be given out along with the monthly grocery distribution.
November distribution dates are:
Monday, November 12, 8:30am-10am Saturday, November 17, 11am-12:30pm
December’s distribution will include “spiral cut hams & the fixings”.
December’s distribution dates are:
Monday, December 17, 8:30am-10am Saturday, December 22, 11am-12:30pm.
