Hello, my name is Courtney. Along with now teaching Sunday School, I am a student teacher for the preschool program at my school. I have a passion for education. I am very eager to start working with the Sunday School program! I can't wait to make memories and watch the children and our church family grow.
A new group of young people are beginning their time of study in preparation for confirmation. Classes are held the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month while service projects and outside projects vary. Please continue to pray for our young people as they take more active roles in our church family. .

Excellent turnout for the Annual Supper and Bake Sale Auction! We would like to thank everybody who participated, especially our wonderful bakers! Here is an example of one of the “homemade” treats! You are All awesome.
Women's Fellowship is going to sponsor a Fellowship Lunch open tor everyone (male, female and families) of St. John's church at "The Rose Garden Restaurant" in Hampshire, Il., Wednesday, April 18th at 11:00 am. This will be a great time for Fellowship outside of the church and to be able to sit and visit with your church family. Everyone orders their own breakfast or lunch off the menu. There will be a sign-up sheet on the back table in the church.
Women's Fellowship meets regularly on the second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Come and join us!
On Saturday, October 14 we had the opportunity to go to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Road, Belvidere and work with "Feed My Starving Children". This project was for our confirmation students as well as anyone else from the church. Immanuel Lutheran Church was also asking that each participant bring a non-perishable item for the local food bank.
Volunteers are always welcome to help at M.O.R.E. If interested in volunteering, do not hesitate to talk to me, or feel free to call Bob Botts, our executive director at 815-568-7950. All personal items and any others to donate are appreciated.

January's pantry served 36 families, 157 people, 62 children & 8 seniors. Due to a snow storm, Monday's distribution was very light.
The needs for March are: crackers, cookies, bisquick & muffin mixes, sugar, flour, baking items, pasta & diapers sizes 4 & 5. All donations are welcome. Again, thank you for your support.
